A new approach to assessment

ASSESSION4ALL stems from a desire to move beyond a system based solely on marks and performance. Through scientific research, digital tools and responsible artificial intelligence, the project will work towards defining a dynamic, talent-based and person-centred European assessment model. Technology will be used to support teachers’ work and promote greater personalisation of learning.

A 36-month European project

The project will run for a total of 36 months. The programme will include co-design activities, piloting in schools, evaluation of results and dissemination. Pupils, teachers, families, universities and educational organisations will be involved in accordance with the principle of shared educational responsibility, ensuring that the new model meets the real needs of school communities.

A multidisciplinary partnership

Collaboration between partners with different areas of expertise is one of the project’s strengths: it will enable us to combine scientific rigour, practical educational relevance, technological innovation and the ability to engage with local communities.

A legacy for European schools

What will ASSESSION4ALL leave behind? At the end of the 36 months, ASSESSION4ALL will have produced a validated assessment protocol, digital tools, training materials, toolkits, interactive guides and open educational resources, all of which will also be available online. Guidelines and recommendations aimed at schools, educators and public policy-makers will also be drawn up.

The value of the project, however, will not be measured solely by the materials produced. The most important outcome will be the opportunity to foster a new culture of assessment: one that is less focused on comparing pupils and better able to support each individual’s growth.

ASSESSION4ALL aims to build a model that can continue to evolve even after the project has ended, becoming a practical resource for other schools and educational communities across Europe.
